Hard Sell
I was hired as a sales representative in an insurance company, I used to work in a big computer manufacturer selling computer service warranties. I did well on my former job but selling an insurance and selling computer warranties are very different. Even if I am selling a lot of computer warranties, the cost is just a few hundred dollars per sale unlike with a life insurance it is hard selling. So before I made my first sales pitch, I underwent a series of Sales training to better equip myself.
I need to understand the very nature of my job and how to close as many sales as I can per contact or per lead. Good thing the sales trainers who facilitated the trainings were very knowledgeable in the craft of selling and they were able to impart to me a great degree of selling skills. Now I am one of the top converters in our company.
